PORTRAIT SESSIONS

It’s my goal to create the most comfortable, fun, and empowering photo experience you’ve ever had, and get you images that you are proud of and want to show off.

You are supported and guided throughout the entire process. We begin with a consultation to go over your vision and goals for the shoot and the flow of the session as well as your appointment with a personal stylist. At the photo shoot, you will be pampered with professional hair and makeup and guided posing during your session.

It is an experience and an investment in yourself. Before you even enter the shoot,  we’ve prepped and prepared you for what’s to come so you feel ready and confident. During the session, my team and I take care of every detail that creates a fun and enjoyable photo shoot. Your only job is to relax and enjoy the experience. Below, you’ll see answers to my most frequently asked questions.

I’m an award-winning photographer and have been at my craft for over 20 years. More importantly, I know what it’s like to feel shy in front of the camera. My incredible team and I do everything possible to put you at ease, and make it an enjoyable and comfortable experience. You’ll walk out with an extra bounce in your step confident that you’ll love the images and texting your friends “that was fun!” It is a feeling you will carry with you beyond the shoot.

WHY SHOULD I DO THIS?

Because, why not? It’s all about you and it allows you to see yourself in a different light. One client left saying “I now see myself correctly”. You deserve to have this moment to celebrate yourself just as you are today and have stunning images that show you off. I believe everyone is beautiful and it’s my mission to show someone the beauty not only I see in them, but how their loved ones see them.

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM OTHER Photo SESSIONS?

This is not your normal photo shoot. My studio is a blank canvas and I use it to create a personalized experience for each client. I take the time to get to know you so we can create images that you really love. My team of professionals handle everything from what to wear to doing up your hair and makeup. They allow you to relax and teach you tips and tricks to spruce up your daily regimen. They are with you throughout the entire shoot prepping and pampering you. I am right alongside you guiding you throughout the entire shoot, encouraging you and, posing you in the most flattering ways. Because you are able to relax and enjoy the shoot, we are able to get natural and beautiful images of you.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY PORTRAIT SESSION?

• One-on-one consultation to design your photo shoot 

• Professional Hair and Makeup/Grooming

• Wardrobe consultation with a professional stylist to help you choose your outfits

• Multiple sets and outfits

• Guided posing

• A final viewing and sales session

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

You can wear up to 4 different outfits at your photo shoot. We go over all of this in our consultation and then my professional stylist will take it from there. She’ll meet with you for an hour before the shoot to go over what you already have, and make suggestions on whether to rent or buy anything. We’ve got you!

HOW DO I BOOK MY PORTRAIT SESSION?

To book your shoot, a non-refundable session fee will be required to reserve your date. I book a limited number of sessions per month, so please reach out as early as possible to reserve your date.

I AM FEELING SELF-CONSCIOUS ABOUT MY BODY, SHOULD I STILL BOOK?

Yes, absolutely. We can be so quick to point out our insecurities, but let me assure you that you are beautiful, just as you are right now. I often hear women say, “ I need to lose ten pounds”, “I’m not photogenic”, or “I hate getting my picture taken.” But let’s not let those stories continue to be told anymore. I can pose you in ways that are flattering and when you look at your images, you’ll say, “Oh wow!”. After your shoot, you’ll know how to pose yourself, and you’ll jump at the chance to be in photos, sharing your tips and tricks with friends to follow along with you. It is empowering, and transformational. I can’t wait to show you.

WHAT WILL THIS COST?

My session fee is $950. My collections of images start at ten (10) images for $2500 and go up to $5250 . Each image you purchase comes with a 5x7 matted print and corresponding digital file. I also offer beautiful canvas wall art that starts at $600. We will chat more about all of this at your consultation and go over the products I offer. There is no pressure to purchase at the viewing session. You only buy what you love.

WILL YOU PHOTOSHOP OR RETOUCH MY IMAGES? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

Yes, I retouch all of your final portraits with my signature retouching style that maintains a natural look. This is done as a way to enhance your images, and not to completely alter them. We discuss the level of photoshopping you want on your images in our consultation.

You can choose from a wide variety of poses, crops, and expressions. Together, we will choose your final images and print products and I will finalize all the retouching. I do not release any un-retouched images, nor do I ever give away or sell raw files.

WHAT IF I JUST WANT DIGITAL IMAGES?

You can choose to purchase digitals only, however the pricing does not change. Every print you purchase comes with a 5x7 print and a digital negative for you to keep. Seeing and having your image in print is so special and different that seeing it on a computer. I believe everyone deserves a good archival print of themselves to have forever.

WHAT KINDS OF PRINTS AND PRODUCTS WILL I BE ABLE TO ORDER?

Prints are everything, in my opinion. So many of us have digital files just sitting on our phones or computer that may never be printed. I offer beautiful wooden folio boxes to house your 5x7 matted prints. I also offer customizable albums and canvas wall art and have software that allows you to see your prints up on your own walls. You’ll have these prints to remind you of your story, and your strength, and your loved ones will have images they can hold, admire and cherish for years to come.

WHAT IF I WANT SOMEONE ELSE AT THE SHOOT? CAN THEY BE IN MY PHOTOS?

Want to add it someone else to your shoot? Great! It’s just an additional $300 per person.

WOULD YOU COME TO MY HOME OR ANOTHER LOCATION?

Absolutely! We can start in the studio for hair and makeup and then move on to another location. If we are doing the entire shoot on location within Rhode Island, there is an additional fee of $350.
