You are a Work of Art: Turn your photo session into gallery walls and statement pieces

Photo of Kimberly Swanson

Would you ever consider hanging a large print of yourself as a statement piece in your own home? Where would you put it? In the entryway to greet your guests? Over the bed as a daily reminder of your power? It is my new year’s resolution to show all of my clients the impact that hanging prints from our session will make in their home. I want to hold my ground that while we need digital files for websites and social media, print will always be queen!

Not sure how to fill your space with prints of yourself? I always say the bigger the better to make a statement. Larger prints bring out the details - like the body of your curls, the shine in your eyes or that thigh muscle you worked hard to create. It stands as an important reminder that you are beautiful. You are amazing.

If you have multiple images that show off all the angles of your body and personality, we can think through what a gallery wall of various sized images would look like together.

In our pre-session consultation, I will help you plan out images that can be used as statement prints and ones that work together side-by-side to create a dynamic gallery wall. It’s a plan that I keep in mind during the shoot - always asking myself, “will this be cool art?” Then during the photo session reveal, I will mock up for you how the photo(s) will look on your own wall. We can work through different configurations and swap images in and out as you wish.

If you are having a hard time selecting which ones to print, I always suggest looking through them again. Which ones make you smile? Which ones create an emotion? I measure in emotion–If it makes you feel something, reminds you of an experience, gives you strength, I would print it. I love looking through the photos together with you so I can read your reactions and help you pick the photos I see you gravitating toward most.

Are you ready? Let us create a timeless piece that features you as a work of art.
